Unblu Inc. is seeking a Legal Counsel to join our legal and compliance team. This role, which can be part-time, is responsible for leveraging expertise in privacy laws, data protection, IT law, and SaaS to support international technology transactions. You will be a key player in a remote, tech-focused department.
What You'll Do
- Negotiate and finalize customer, supplier, and partner contracts for Unblu and its group companies.
- Collaborate in the preparation and automation of legal templates and playbooks.
- Ensure the accuracy of legal documents for external distribution and own the e-signature and contract filing processes.
- Manage and own all data protection processes using organizational tools.
- Own all data privacy processes using the company's privacy tools.
- Support and backup the DPO and advise internal clients on data protection risks and negotiation strategy.
- Seamlessly work with colleagues across different geographies to coordinate document management, schedules, and project tracking.
- Collaborate with the legal team to maintain policies, guidelines, training materials, and templates.
- Share legal knowledge, research materials, and experience with the team.
- Maintain legal templates and keep legal files organized and accessible.
- Own and ensure the smooth running of the signature process via Docusign and similar tools.
What We're Looking For
- Proven knowledge of cloud and SaaS contracts.
- 3+ years of experience as legal counsel in a SaaS business.
- Proven experience in privacy laws, data protection agreements, and processes.
- Software licensing knowledge.
- Experience with secured document sharing, content management, and LLM-based legal tools.
- Ability to excel in an objective-based remote environment with high reliability and responsibility.
- Excellence in client management, setting expectations, and owning deadlines.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on win-win objectives.
- High integrity, reliability, and work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment with tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Docusign and legal operations for file processing and maintenance.

- Excellent practical knowledge of O365 and MS Word functions and ability to operate with data privacy and legal AI tools.
- Full qualifications (admitted or admissible to the bar) in a relevant EU jurisdiction.
- Fluency in English and German.
Nice to Have
- Expertise in IP law and banking regulatory frameworks such as EBA outsourcing and DORA.
- Data Protection or Privacy qualifications.
- Knowledge of other European languages.

Team & Environment
The legal and compliance department is made of three very techy team members and one external resource on call. It is a mostly remote but very tightly knit team where daily communication and constant collaboration are fundamental. You will report to the Director of Compliance.
