Avantia Law is seeking a freelance Legal Consultant fluent in French and/or German to lead and manage the negotiation of investment-related contracts. You will be responsible for the entire process from initial review to execution, operating within a dynamic and high-volume setting.
What You'll Do
- Negotiate investment-related NDAs, Engagement Letters, joinder agreements, and non-reliance letters.
- Manage every phase of the contract process from initial review and negotiation, guided by client playbooks, through to document execution.
- Dive into fast-paced, high-volume negotiations on pre-M&A contracts, primarily Engagement Letters and investment-related NDAs.
- Collaborate directly with counterparties while ensuring rapid turnaround times.
- Work closely with fellow global Avantia lawyers and paralegals.
What We're Looking For
- Licensed to practice law in the UK, Europe, USA, or Canada.
- Must be fluent in French and/or German.
- 5+ years’ corporate/transactional law experience, either in-house or in private practice.
- Experienced with independently negotiating investment-related NDAs and Engagement Letters.
- Comfortable with a fast-paced, changing, and dynamic environment.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Efficient with strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Committed to delivering a quality service with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong grasp of relevant legal concepts combined with a commercial and pragmatic outlook.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with working for asset managers, investment banks, or other financial services firms.
Team & Environment
You will work closely with fellow global Avantia lawyers and paralegals.
