Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary authority on leave policies and ADA regulations, offering expert advice to staff, supervisors, and HR partners on compliance, procedures, and optimal practices.
  • Manage the complete administration of all leave types—including FMLA, state-mandated leaves, workers’ compensation, and parental leave—ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local laws while maintaining a supportive employee journey.
  • Oversee the entire leave process from initial request through return-to-work, ensuring timely communication, accurate recordkeeping, and coordination among employees, managers, HR, and outside partners.
  • Supervise relationships with external leave administrators, ensuring high performance, on-time processing, and ongoing enhancements to the employee leave experience.
  • Deliver specialized guidance on ADA accommodation processes and workplace injury claims, promoting fair, compliant, and uniform outcomes across the organization.
  • Serve as the central point for ADA documentation, supporting managers and HR teams through the accommodation process and ensuring proper tracking and compliance.
  • Lead operational management of leave programs, working with benefits leadership to detect trends, assess risks, and address process shortcomings through scalable, effective solutions.
  • Coordinate with payroll teams to guarantee correct and timely compensation for employees on leave, conducting regular audits to fix errors and improve financial controls.
  • Work with HR systems specialists to refine digital workflows, increase automation, and uphold accurate data within leave management platforms.
  • Handle employee inquiries via JIRA, meeting service level standards while consistently refining response quality and support efficiency.
