What You'll Do
Act as a linguistic and operational bridge between Japanese-speaking Lean experts and English-speaking teams, ensuring clear communication during knowledge transfer and training initiatives. Facilitate the implementation of Lean principles by supporting Dojo Masters in coaching terminal leadership and driving kaizen activities. Translate technical and strategic content accurately to maintain fidelity in process development discussions.
Participate in problem-solving workshops and training sessions, helping teams understand and apply continuous improvement methodologies. Support audits and process evaluations to strengthen compliance awareness and operational consistency across terminals. Assist in organizing program logistics, including workshop coordination, site visits, and cross-regional collaboration efforts.
Engage deeply with Lean practices, learning through hands-on involvement and contributing to the evolution of standardized processes. Help terminals adopt the Flow program by providing on-the-ground support and enabling effective knowledge exchange under expert supervision.
Requirements
- Background in industrial engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Fluency in Japanese, English, and Spanish—spoken and written—with strong interpretation skills
- Excellent interpersonal abilities and experience working across diverse, cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated capacity to learn quickly and apply new knowledge effectively
- Enthusiasm for change initiatives and a proactive mindset toward transformation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lean methodologies such as TPM, VMS, and problem-solving frameworks
- Familiarity with the 6 big losses and root cause analysis techniques
- Track record in developing or deploying global standards across functions
