What You'll Do
Lead the engineering and design efforts for high-voltage transmission systems, overseeing projects that span from initial planning to final delivery. You will supervise technical teams, guiding the development of utility-scale transmission solutions for voltages between 34.5kV and 500kV.
Develop detailed project timelines and assign engineering resources based on technical demands and workload priorities. You will play a key role in shaping team capabilities by mentoring engineers, teaching core electrical engineering principles, and ensuring compliance with safety and electrical codes.
Direct the use of engineering software, digital tools, and company equipment, ensuring team proficiency and operational safety. Facilitate clear and professional communication across departments and with external partners, including clients and regulatory stakeholders.
Oversee internal and external design reviews to verify accuracy and completeness before submission. Work closely with department leaders to refine engineering policies and procedures, aligning them with current best practices. Support broader company goals by collaborating on cross-departmental initiatives and contributing to continuous improvement.
Help maintain strong client relationships and support business development by identifying new opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
Requirements
- Professional experience in the power delivery industry, specifically in utility transmission systems
- Background in electrical engineering with a focus on large-scale transmission line design
- Specialized knowledge in utility transmission engineering, including design standards and project execution
Work Mode
This role is available remotely across the U.S., with preferred alignment to the Pacific or Central time zones. Candidates may also choose to work from any company office. The position offers full remote flexibility while supporting team coordination and project timelines effectively.
