Kyndryl is hiring a Lead, Systems Administration to join our team. In this role, you will focus on DB2 systems programming and support, developing, testing, and maintaining core system software while ensuring security and providing technical leadership. What You'll Do

Develop, test, and maintain the software that controls a computer's operating system, hardware, and other systems software.
Ensure the security of computer systems.
Work closely with other IT professionals to design and implement technology solutions.
Conduct root cause analysis discussions for products worked on.
Provide ongoing technical and operational guidance to lead professional work teams.
Manage departments on a national or international level, defining objectives and managing resources.
Influence people outside of your department or function.
Plan and execute DB2 system updates.
Install preventive and on-demand maintenance for DB2 products.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a DB2 system programmer and in support.
Knowledge of SMP/E for applying PTFs and maintaining IBM software.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in technical support, troubleshooting, and software testing.
Ability to plan and execute DB2 system updates.
Experience installing preventive and on-demand maintenance for DB2 products.
Hands-on experience with DB2, z/OS, Service Now, NetView, FTP, SFTP, Connect:Direct, and JCL IBM Utilities, ideally in a complex GDPS environment.
Advanced English proficiency for direct communication with global clients.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to Have

Proficiency in programming languages such as Assembler, Java, Python, C, or C++.
