Gevernova is looking for a Commissioning Specialist to handle all DCS/CS field activities for GE-GA projects, including on-shore, off-shore, in Oman, and remote support for the UAE. You will closely coordinate with the DCS Engineering & Field Service team, Project Management, Application, and After Sales to ensure successful project execution.
What You'll Do
- Prepare Signal Lists from Schematics and other applicable documents.
- Prepare Interlocking documents from Main PLD.
- Take complete ownership of technical activities for assigned projects, including EHS coordination, site survey, engineering, design, pre-FAT, FAT, site installation supervision, testing, commissioning, as-built drawings, and troubleshooting.
- Perform, coordinate, and record tests for digital inputs, controls, measurements, interlocks, IEC61850 IED’s, SCADA signals, SCS/CS complex functionalities, and NCC/DCC with standard protocols.
- Inform and report on time to the SCS Engineer in charge.
- Prepare As-Built documentation for SCS documents (consoles, data lists, IP address plans, connectivity drawings).
- Prepare images and backups for PCs installed at the site and create backups for switches, GPS & other DCS equipment.
- Lead the design of Substation LAN networks and configuration of industrial computers, ethernet switches, Firewall routers, and satellite clocks.
- Lead the installation of the SCS system at the site, including fiber optic layout, PC installation, console wiring, CS installation, and testing.
- Prepare and install labels for Fiber optics and Ethernet cables.
- Project planning to ensure timely achievement of project milestones.
- Manage resource planning and workload to ensure a 90% and above billable ratio.
- Support the operations team to control projects effectively in terms of budgeted profitability, planning, and reporting.
- Coordinate workplace EHS issues and ensure the availability of suitable PPE.
- Ensure commitments to customers are met in accordance with the contract through clear communication and regular customer interaction.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering.
- Minimum 6 years' experience with DS Agile, PACiS, GPG, G500 and D2xx RTUs solutions.
- Knowledge of Sequencing & interlocking principles used in substation automation systems and their implementation on IEC61850 IED’s.
- Knowledge of Cyber security solutions implementation in the field of Substation Automation.
- Proficient in PC installation and troubleshooting, software installation and Microsoft Office software.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- No travel restrictions.
