Gevernova is hiring a P&C Engineer to join its GE Grid Automation unit in Berlin, Germany. You will be responsible for the hands-on configuration, testing, and on-site commissioning of GE protection and control solutions, while providing critical technical support to project management, sales, and tendering activities. This position involves significant travel, estimated at ~50% of working time, to customer sites both domestically and internationally.
What You'll Do
- Perform configuration, testing, and on-site commissioning of GE P&C solutions.
- Deliver technical support for the project management team, as well as for sales and tendering processes.
What We're Looking For
- A Technical High School Diploma from a relevant faculty of protection & automation in energy systems, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Proven experience in power systems, specifically transmission, within the field of protection relays.
- Solid knowledge of HV/MV systems, including bus bar applications, standards, specifications, requirements, and communication protocols.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in the English language to communicate effectively with multinational customers and GE functions abroad.
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion when handling confidential information.
Nice to Have
- Experience with computer networks, switches, routers, and gateways.
- Familiarity with the GE range of HV/MV protection relays, such as Micom Px40, Multilin UR, and 8 series.
- German language skills.
