Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to lead complex, companywide technology initiatives and develop best practices for engineering large-scale solutions. You will be a key participant in setting technical standards and driving strategic outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Lead complex, companywide technology initiatives with broad impact.
• Develop standards and companywide best practices for engineering large-scale technology solutions.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs.
• Review and analyze complex technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives.
• Make decisions on best practices for engineering and technology solutions.
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology teams, and external groups to resolve complex technical issues.
• Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor.
• Design resilient, scalable, and secure platform solutions.
• Work closely with infrastructure, security, support, and architecture groups to sunrise and sunset platform products.
• Understand technology touch points for integrating composite service capabilities with core platform products.
• Work with RPA vendors on product roadmaps, test new releases, and rollout upgrades.
• Identify gaps in vendor products, fill them with custom engineering, and develop tools.
• Identify and communicate technical infrastructure requirements.
• Design application solutions in accordance with standard automation design principles.
• Create and maintain solution documentation.
• Support existing processes and implement change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
• Provide timely responses and solutions to ongoing challenges.
• Support business teams during UAT and rollout phases.
• Provide guidance, training, and up-skilling to the development team as required.
• Work closely with development teams to review deliverables and assist in development, testing, and bug-fixes.
• Conduct code reviews and demonstrate application solutions to various stakeholders.
• Deploy defined front line risk methodology for efficient risk governance.
• Periodically review infrastructure capacity and plan for scaling.
• Identify process improvements and implement possible solutions.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.

Nice to Have

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in .Net full stack Software Enterprise Application design and development.
• Experience in designing or developing Banking applications.
• Expertise in designing enterprise applications using .NET core, C#, web services, Cloud native design/technology, SOAP/REST, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript/CSS/HTML5/jQuery, Microservices Architecture Patterns, Hibernate, Databases (RDBMS/NOSQL), Event Driven Architecture – Kafka, and DevOps tools.
• Experience working on SQL server, NOSQL, MongoDB and a relational DB such as SQL Server.
• Experience in transforming Monolith or legacy applications to Microservice Architecture.
• Very good knowledge in designing and developing Scalable, Secure, resilient, Cloud Ready Applications using “12 factor principles” for cloud environments (AWS, PCF, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Good working knowledge in continuous integration frameworks like Jenkins.
• Good working knowledge in testing, Automation, Selenium, BDD.
• Good Working knowledge of Gen AI (generative AI), Agentic AI, and working with LLMs.
• Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, PKS.
• Certifications on Azure, GCP, PCF.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot and other Gen AI tools for productivity.
• Experience working with LLMs, NLP, Gen AI models.
• Ability to develop and maintain web applications based on .NET framework, latest UI technologies, and WCF/Web API services.
• Strong in RDBMS and SQL database concepts to support database archival strategies and performance tuning.
• Experience in designing and developing Gen AI and Agentic AI based solutions.
