LSEG is hiring a Lead Software Engineer to enhance the existing WMX platform, building outstanding index and benchmark product capabilities and production processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions while coaching and developing junior engineers.

What You'll Do

Demonstrate significant technology knowledge to advise on design, development, and implementation.
Advance tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code and conducting code reviews.
Promote an open, inclusive culture, holding responsibility for team motivation, retention, and performance management.
Develop deep expertise in software development as a Subject Matter Expert.
Lead the delivery of critical projects, coaching team members and delegating or reviewing work.
Work with architects to decompose solutions into Epics and adapt existing patterns to build robust solutions.
Lead timely design work and planning for Epics, breaking them down with product owners and quality leads.
Build strong relationships with senior collaborators, promoting teamwork and communicating sophisticated information clearly.
Develop technology and industry expertise through certifications and networking, creating development opportunities for the team.

What We're Looking For

A professional qualification or equivalent.
In-depth knowledge of Java (recent Java; C++ or Python experience will be considered).
Significant experience in a software development and delivery role.
In-depth knowledge of Digital Asset & Blockchain.
In-depth knowledge of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and the AWS cloud platform.
Familiarity with databases, preferably Postgres and Oracle.
A strong understanding of Design Patterns and UML.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have

Some experience in Business and Technical Analysis, Quality Assurance, delivery management, and/or Emerging Technology and Governance.
