Wells Fargo is hiring a Lead Software Engineer to support the Chief Development Office. You will provide essential lead engineering capacity to advance enterprise testing capabilities and enable effective use of AI across automation, performance, and test execution functions. This role keeps these capabilities reliable and scalable as adoption grows while supporting platform evolution and sustaining user and application support.
What You'll Do
- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs.
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives.
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions.
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues.
- Provide hands on technical leadership on an Agile Delivery team while serving as a peer mentor.
- Perform work with a sense of urgency and accountability.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 5+ years full stack software development including the usage of testing frameworks and tools such as JIRA as well as CI/CD pipelines leveraging technologies such as Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory.
- 5+ years of Agile experience.
- 5+ years of experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, TKGI, OCP, etc. in support of both native cloud development and cloud migration activities.
- 2+ years of experience with LLM and AI solutions.
Nice to Have
- Strong Technical Leadership & Engineering solution development.
- Experience with the utilization of GenAI capabilities.
- Knowledge of end-to-end DevSecOps automation while implementing and using quality gates.
- Proven delivery of modern solutions in an agile environment.
- Strong interpersonal and consultative skills.
- Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required.
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to provide consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and efficiencies.
