Fitch Group is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join a greenfield initiative, the Innovation Tiger Team. This is a ground-floor opportunity to design and architect net-new agentic systems and intelligent platforms that will change how Ratings analysts work. You will build transformative AI systems for financial analysis from the ground up.
What You'll Do
- Build transformative greenfield solutions from the ground up using Java/Springboot, REACT, and emerging AI technologies.
- Drive AI innovation and experimentation, leading exploration of generative AI, intelligent automation, agentic workflows, LLMs, and RAG architectures.
- Define technical vision and architecture for AI-driven systems, establish technical standards, and drive technology choices.
- Lead through innovation and influence, partnering with product visionaries and cross-functional teams to translate ideas into technical solutions.
- Champion quality while moving fast, implementing CI/CD and solving novel technical challenges at the intersection of AI and production systems.
- Shape team culture and direction, defining how the Tiger Team operates and balancing exploration with delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience building and leading the development of complex, production-grade software systems.
- Strong proficiency in Java/Springboot and modern front-end frameworks like REACT.
- Demonstrated ability to define technical vision, architecture, and standards for new initiatives.
- Experience driving innovation and exploration with AI technologies, such as generative AI, LLMs, or agentic workflows.
- Strong collaboration and influence skills to partner with product and cross-functional teams.
- A mindset that champions quality, continuous delivery, and solving novel technical challenges.
