Jobgether is looking for a Lead Software Developer to provide technical leadership to development teams and oversee complex application projects from conception to deployment. You'll combine hands-on coding with system architecture expertise to deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly applications.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical leadership and direction for development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and project goals.
- Design, implement, and maintain applications that enable efficient, secure, and user-friendly experiences.
- Evaluate current platforms and recommend architectural improvements and long-term strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software architects, developers, QA, and project managers, to deliver robust solutions.
- Monitor and maintain applications for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and implement long-term solutions to minimize downtime.
- Lead code reviews, mentor team members, and promote knowledge sharing and consistent coding standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, integrations, and processes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in software development.
- At least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system integration.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Java, SQL, JavaScript frameworks, and REST APIs.
- Experience with modern web frameworks and libraries (React, Angular, Node.js) and CI/CD practices.
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development tools.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of secure development practices, data integrity, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Experience in Agile or SAFe Agile methodologies; hands-on coding and team leadership experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience with low-code platforms (e.g., Tyler Application Platform, Appian).
- Cloud experience (AWS or similar) and cloud integration management.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TDD).
- Previous experience in government or healthcare projects.
- Knowledge of software security best practices.
