Responsibilities
- Architect and implement backend functionality that supports business objectives and user requirements
- Enhance and sustain unit test coverage using PHPUnit
- Develop robust, testable APIs and backend infrastructure that scale with demand
- Produce readable, well-structured code adhering to defined quality benchmarks
- Evaluate technical requirements and contribute expert insights during planning
- Work hand-in-hand with product management, design, and quality assurance teams
- Take part in a rotating on-call rotation to monitor production systems and resolve incidents
- Decompose complex initiatives into actionable tasks and lead team execution
- Engage in peer code reviews and provide meaningful, improvement-focused feedback
- Identify opportunities to refine development workflows and recommend technical upgrades
- Enforce secure development standards and proactively address security flaws
- Create and maintain documentation for features, procedures, and system design to support team knowledge transfer
