Summit Business Group is looking for a Lead Outside Sales Representative to drive in-person sales and mentor new agents. You will be a key player in a sales team dedicated to helping small and medium-sized businesses. What You'll Do
- Make daily in-person sales calls to small and medium-sized businesses within your assigned territory.
- Build strong professional relationships to establish trust and rapport with customers.
- Connect with key decision makers to schedule appointments for presenting supplemental benefits programs.
- Report daily sales statistics at the end of each business day.
- Submit your weekly work schedule and goals to your team leader.
- Attend business networking events in your territory to generate new leads and referrals.
- Periodically and systematically re-service existing client accounts.
- Enter business client information weekly into the company CRM.
- Dedicate part of each week to personal sales activities and meeting your individual sales goals.
- Train and mentor new sales agents joining the team.
What We're Looking For
- Already licensed in Health & Life general lines, or willing and able to obtain a Health & Life producer license.
- A Bachelor's degree OR a minimum of 10 years of professional work experience after high school.
- Demonstrated strong sales skills.
- Previous mentorship or leadership experience.
- Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and coaching sales staff.
- Proven leadership ability.
- Skills in strategic planning.
- Familiarity with effective sales strategies.
- Proven ability to train others effectively.
- Mastery of product knowledge.
- Strong customer service skills.
Nice to Have
- Candidates within 6 months or less of completing their degree.
Team & Environment
This is a Sales Team Lead role with responsibility for supporting sales staff and increasing overall team sales. You will report directly to a Team Leader.
