Black & Veatch is hiring a Lead I&C Engineer

Black & Veatch is hiring a Lead I&C Engineer to provide critical construction management and technical direction on our major projects. You will interpret contract specifications, provide solutions and drawings to subcontractors, and direct work to ensure it proceeds on schedule. This role is typically assigned to projects where Black & Veatch has a construction management role.

What You'll Do

• Provide resident I&C construction support and manage BV QA/QC inspection services.
• Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly progress review meetings.
• Review all pre-fabrication and installation construction engineering deliverables, including procedures, plans, drawings, specifications, and QA/QC documentation.
• Provide inspection and witness services for I&C per agreed ITP and Witness Points, Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and other major milestone tests.
• Inspect I&C work at off-site manufacturing/fabrication facilities, off-site storage/laydown facilities, and storage of imported equipment.
• Verify the provision of QA/QC records and certificates relevant to I&C.
• Verify and compile the punch list and non-conformance reports relevant to I&C.
• Coordinate with the BV engineering team for any technical clarification.

What We're Looking For

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program in the USA or an equivalent foreign program.
• 0 to 1 year of construction management experience in similar facility construction.
• 1 to 2 years of design experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Nice to Have

• At least 8 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience on the construction and commissioning of two large CCGT projects.
• More than 5 years of experience as a Lead Site Engineer on a CCGT project.
