DriveWhip is hiring a Lead, Development to develop and execute the organization’s fundraising engagement and stewardship strategy. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring sustainable revenue growth through individual giving, grants, corporate partnerships, and events.
What You'll Do
- Lead donor stewardship efforts by ensuring timely, personalized acknowledgments and recognition.
- Maintain accurate donor records and contact information in the CRM system.
- Plan and execute engagement strategies to deepen donor relationships and retention.
- Partner with program and communications teams to develop compelling impact stories and materials.
- Write compelling and engaging communications to funders including proposals, newsletters, and annual grant reports.
- Manage fundraising operations, including data entry, tracking, reporting, and financial reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fundraising reports for leadership and the board.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and ethical standards.
- Support subgrant management including RFPs, proposal review, subgrantee check-ins, and interim/final reports.
- Support identification, cultivation, and development plans to solicit major donors and institutional funders.
- Co-manage a portfolio of approximately 50 qualified prospects.
- Support ideation of donor outreach, LOIs, and proposal development.
- Oversee annual campaigns and special initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership to align fundraising goals with organizational priorities and long-term strategy.
- Design and manage fundraising and thought leadership events, both virtual and in-person.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of fundraising or development experience, with a proven track record of meeting revenue goals.
- Experience managing donor databases (e.g., Airtable, Salesforce, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect).
- Knowledge of grant writing and reporting processes for $100,000+ donors.
- Strong writing, storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Commitment to collaboration, inclusion, and ethical fundraising practices.
