CVS Health is looking for a Lead Delivery Driver to ensure the quality and efficiency of our delivery operations. You will serve as the vital link between long-term care facilities and our delivery staff, responsible for training all transport personnel and maintaining our high standards of service and compliance.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate work schedules and delivery routes.
- Monitor work flow to analyze patterns and trends.
- Review and set standards for staff and train all transportation personnel.
- Conduct routine staff meetings.
- Respect the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient information and property.
- Coordinate all special deliveries with the operations supervisor on duty.
- Maintain vehicles in good and safe condition to comply with DOT, OSHA, state and federal regulations, and company policies.
- Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
- Display behavior which exemplifies employee code of conduct guidelines.
- Ensure shipments are accurate and deliveries are timely.
- Perform physical inventories and sort medication baskets according to facility units, location, and delivery times.
- Scan all medication pending for delivery and prepare manifests.
- Retrieve medication totes from pharmacists that are to be scanned for delivery.
- Check bins before delivery departure for missed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy floor for additional support during down times.
- Scan manifests into the system for confirmation of delivery.
- Take important steps to ensure all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for our patients.
- Maintain full compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations and the highest professional and ethical standards.
What We're Looking For
- Driver’s license in good standing and a clean driving record. Must maintain a valid driver's license.
- Ability to use routing software (if applicable).
- Ability to drive a standard transmission IF necessary.
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required.
- The ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted.
- Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues.
- Actively listen by giving full attention, taking time to understand points, asking questions appropriately, and not interrupting.
- The ability to use math to solve a problem, such as calculating a day’s supply of a prescription.
- Able to judge when something is wrong or likely to go wrong; recognizing there is a problem.
- Choosing the best course of action when faced with a complex situation with several available options.
- Customer service orientation.
