Multi Media, LLC is hiring a Lead Data Platform Engineer to scale a petabyte-scale data platform supporting analytics, data science, and machine learning. As a Tech Lead Manager, you will take over the team responsible for ETL, data warehousing, and governance, focusing on architectural decisions for greenfield projects while building modern products for the content creator community.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and manage the daily operations of the data platform team, fostering a culture of high-impact contributions and professional growth.
- Design, build, and optimize data infrastructure with a focus on Snowflake performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Administer and manage Snowflake and related data infrastructure.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert and decision-maker for data security, governance, and performance.
- Collaborate with analytics, product, and machine learning teams to provide the tools and infrastructure needed for their data products.
- Set the strategic direction for the data platform.
- Coordinate closely with the head of engineering, head of product, and other team leads to build roadmaps, prioritize work, and drive team success.
What We're Looking For
- Proven hands-on technical leadership experience, leading small data teams while building and maintaining reliable data products.
- Deep expertise in ETL architecture and infrastructure.
- Experience building real-time segmentation systems using modern event-driven architectures.
- Proven experience with DBT, focusing on complex transformations, enforced data testing, and maintaining clean, documented data marts.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL.
- Excellent knowledge of the Snowflake platform.

- Expertise in DataOps and security.

- Compensation range: $180,000 to $215,000 USD
