Parsons Transportation Group is hiring a Land Surveyor to conduct precise field surveys supporting construction and infrastructure projects in Doha, Qatar. In this critical role, you will ensure project layouts, elevations, and alignments meet design and quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Perform field surveys including topographic, boundary, and construction staking surveys as per project requirements.
- Set out construction works based on approved drawings and specifications.
- Operate and maintain surveying instruments such as Total Stations, GPS systems, levels, and data collectors.
- Record and process field data accurately for use in engineering and construction activities.
- Assist the Senior Land Surveyor in verifying site measurements, levels, and alignment of structures and utilities.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and site supervisors to ensure survey data supports construction progress and accuracy.
- Prepare field sketches, survey notes, and reports for documentation and project records.
- Identify discrepancies or potential issues in the field and report them promptly to the supervisory team.
- Adhere to project safety requirements and company procedures during all field activities.
What We're Looking For
- Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution, subject to approval by the Engineer.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in land surveying, preferably on infrastructure and civil works projects.
- Proficiency in using modern survey equipment and software including Total Stations, GPS, and AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, construction plans, and technical specifications.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Effective written and spoken English communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience on large-scale infrastructure projects such as roads, utilities, and drainage networks.
- Knowledge of local surveying regulations and practices.
- Experience working in the Gulf region is preferred.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Familiarity with GIS tools and data integration is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
