Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is hiring a Lab Manager/Administrator to manage and support operations for its Machine Learning Lab across the APAC region. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical expertise, project coordination, and remote support to ensure lab functionality and compliance.
What You'll Do
- Host and facilitate lab-related tasks, including equipment installation, lab modifications, and space planning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess lab needs and execute projects, ensuring alignment with safety standards.
- Manage the lab equipment lifecycle, including calibration, maintenance, and certifications.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors to ensure timely delivery of maintenance and support services.
- Oversee and evaluate vendor performance, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Serve as a key liaison between internal teams, remote labs, and external service providers.
- Provide technical advice, training, and remote troubleshooting to lab personnel across APAC.
- Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of lab equipment across multiple sites.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, calibration, and repair activities.
- Generate reports on lab performance, vendor service outcomes, and system conditions.
- Stay updated with advancements in lab technology and processes to suggest improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, or supporting high-tech environments.
- Proven experience managing remote vendor relationships and troubleshooting lab equipment.
- Familiarity with lab asset management systems and maintenance scheduling.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex issues independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with teams and vendors.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Experience in evaluating and ensuring compliance with laboratory safety and operational standards.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
Nice to Have
- Experience in Reinforcement Learning (RL) labs or similar high-tech environments.
- Familiarity with laboratory management software and tools.
- Proficiency in additional APAC languages.
