About the Role

GE HealthCare is hiring a Weekend Global Transportation Operations Specialist to execute transportation processes and ensure smooth weekend logistics operations. You will be a key escalation point for international and domestic delivery issues while working a Friday through Monday schedule to support global logistics flow.

What You'll Do

  • Execute the Clear to Build Process and Standard Work to transport, track, and ensure parts are delivered to meet weekly engine output goals.
  • Surface emerging international and domestic delivery issues and act as the transportation escalation point during the weekend.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to ensure optimal internal processes for supply chain fulfilment.
  • Develop relationships to gain knowledge of business plans requiring logistics strategy refinement.
  • Utilize supplier metrics to develop and implement process improvements aimed at reducing shipment processing cycle time, enhancing quality, productivity, and service capability.
  • Enable operations team by preparing operational and financial performance data through the use of global transportation digital tools.
  • Contribute to GE Aerospace’s transportation quality program, including identifying supplier process gaps and managing long-term improvements.
  • Plan and implement changes in operating practices to reduce operating expenses while providing satisfactory customer service.
  • Identify cost savings projects in collaboration with GTO Operations and manage them to completion.
  • Champion regulatory, policy, procedure, and EHS standards compliance.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor of Science degree (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of logistics experience) plus 3 additional years of logistics experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience of both international and US domestic logistics operational experience.
  • Understanding of global customs requirements.
  • Root cause analysis, corrective & preventative action process expertise.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong customer centric service approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain schedules and meet deliverables in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge managing in a metrics-based environment including data compilation and analysis.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Operational background.

Work Mode

This is a remote position. Candidates must be located in EST and CST time zones.
