Daikin Applied is hiring a Journeyman Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and replacement of HVAC equipment, including advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing. This hands-on role involves verifying system functionality, educating customers, programming control systems, and ensuring safety compliance in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

What You'll Do

Perform maintenance of all HVAC & applied equipment and execute on-site start-up procedures.
Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
Conduct intermediate to advanced independent diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing.
Verify functionality of new equipment and perform warranty service inspections.
Educate customers on proper equipment use, maintenance schedules, and operating manuals.
Program new control systems using touchscreens and computers and download programs into equipment and micro controllers.
Prepare wiring diagrams and analyze trend data to ensure optimal performance.
Document all jobsite actions for project reports and report on billing, inventory, and timecards.
Direct discussions with building owners regarding ongoing maintenance and service.
Complete jobsite hazard assessments and adhere to all safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
Communicate service status to customers before, during, and after calls.
Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Communicate potential sales opportunities to the sales staff.
Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, verbal, and written communication.

What We're Looking For

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
State license or certifications as required by the market.
EPA approved Universal Technician Certification required, as necessary.
Ability to perform basic data entry and navigate email, internet, and word processing programs.
