Daikin Applied is hiring a Journeyman Technician to perform critical maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial HVAC equipment. You will independently diagnose and solve complex problems, work directly with customers, and ensure systems operate at peak performance.

What You'll Do

Perform maintenance and on-site startup procedures for all HVAC and applied equipment.
Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
Conduct intermediate to advanced independent diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing.
Verify functionality of new equipment and conduct warranty service applications.
Educate customers on proper equipment use, maintenance schedules, and operating manuals.
Program new control systems using touchscreens and computers.
Assist owner's representatives to demonstrate proper system setup.
Direct discussions with building owners regarding ongoing maintenance and service.
Prepare wiring diagrams and analyze trend data for optimal performance.
Document all jobsite actions for project reports.
Complete jobsite hazard assessments and adhere to safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
Communicate service status to customers before, during, and after each call.
Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and product quality reports.
Perform basic data entry and navigate email, internet, and word processing programs.
Uphold company standards, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean work area.

What We're Looking For

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
State license or certifications as required by the local market.
EPA approved Universal Technician Certification required, as necessary.
