Flock Safety is hiring a Journeyman Electrician in Columbus, OH to join our Product Deployment team. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in accordance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical theory, practical application, and safety regulations.
What You'll Do
- Install and troubleshoot electrical components such as wiring, switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and panels supporting Flock products.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting using various electrical testing equipment like multimeters, voltage testers, and ammeters.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and NEC codes.
- Estimate time and materials required for projects.
- Ensure all work meets a high standard of quality.
- Train and mentor apprentice electricians.
- Work with a bucket truck and/or ladder to service equipment up to 30’ high.
- Provide installation pictures via the Flock field app.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Meet with customers to discuss installation options and perform site surveys.
- Communicate effectively with both internal teams and customers.
- Install poles of varying lengths per specifications, which may involve digging holes.
What We're Looking For
- A valid Journeyman Electrician certification.
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician, typically 4+ years.
- Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Strong understanding of electrical theory and practical application.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with various electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on a computer navigating business systems like Salesforce.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety regulations and procedures.
- Physical ability to perform job demands, including lifting, bending, and working in various positions.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record.

- Compensation range: $64,000 to $88,000 plus equity in the form of Flock Safety Stock Options.
