Prime Therapeutics is hiring an Assistant Vice President of Pricing and Underwriting to lead the execution of innovative pricing and go-to-market strategies. You will work closely with clients to expand business and create revenue, translating complex strategies into specific initiatives and leading a team of actuaries, underwriters, and analysts.
What You'll Do
- Lead a team responsible for the execution, analysis, and underwriting of competitive pricing strategies.
- Create aggressive pricing recommendations and develop and negotiate competitive contract language.
- Work closely with clients to win and retain employer pharmacy business.
- Lead client consultation by providing guidance on recommended strategies and risk management.
- Assist with occasional consultant engagements in partnership with Prime’s health plan clients.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Network Management, Trade Relations, and Clinical to develop, recommend, communicate, sell, and implement competitive pricing strategies.
- Monitor implemented strategies and improve performance on an ongoing basis.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to develop aggressive pricing strategies aimed at the employer market.
- Consult and collaborate with health plan clients to implement strategies.
- Develop and foster a culture of continuous improvement, providing guidance to direct reports.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required.
- 12 years of work experience in financial analysis, healthcare, benefits consulting, actuarial and underwriting, or financial services field.
- This must include 7 years of experience working with pricing and profitability models.
- 8 years of leadership/people management experience.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
- Strong client consulting presence: ability to distill complex material into easy-to-understand presentations and engage a variety of audiences.
- Experience in identifying, designing, recommending, and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' complex pharmacy benefit challenges.
- Excellent quantitative, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy plan design.
Nice to Have
- Actuarial designation (ASA or FSA).
- Technical background in underwriting and risk-adjusted rate setting.
- Previous Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) experience.

- Salary: $164,000.00 - $279,000.00
