Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and refine the organization’s vendor management framework, covering policies, governance, and end-to-end lifecycle processes.
- Lead initiatives to consolidate vendor portfolios for improved efficiency and control.
- Advance the transition from staff augmentation models to managed service delivery approaches with vendors.
- Manage the complete vendor lifecycle in coordination with internal teams, including sourcing, evaluation, onboarding, contracting, performance oversight, renewal, and exit processes.
- Enforce adherence to information security standards and regulatory obligations through regular audits and assessments of vendors.
- Lead and coordinate Microsoft-related capabilities within the IT department.
- Guide contract negotiations alongside procurement to achieve optimal value and service quality.
- Oversee budget planning, financial forecasting, expenditure tracking, and cost-saving initiatives related to vendor engagements.
- Ensure all vendor agreements comply with legal, procurement, and compliance policies.
- Establish measurable service levels, KPIs, OLAs, and performance metrics for external service providers.
- Conduct formal performance evaluations with vendors, manage escalations, and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Promote visibility into service quality using standardized reports and real-time dashboards.
- Ensure vendors comply with information security policies, identity and access management rules, data privacy standards, and incident response protocols.
- Partner with the IT Security Manager on risk assessments, security audits, and ongoing improvements for vendor-related risks.
- Maintain a centralized vendor risk register and track execution of risk mitigation plans.
- Serve as the main strategic liaison for key IT vendors and external service providers.
- Foster clear and structured communication between vendor teams and internal stakeholders.
- Engage business units to align vendor strategies with organizational goals and service enhancements.
- Deliver regular reports on vendor performance, financials, and risks to IT leadership and governance groups.
- Keep vendor documentation, contracts, records, and audit-ready materials current and accessible.
- Support strategic IT planning by providing insights on vendor capabilities, emerging risks, and industry trends.
