We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Technical Warehouse Operations Support Manager to join us supporting our e‑fulfilment operation for a well-known recognised brand, handling the movement of customer‑specific products, including beers, wines and spirits, within a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
As a Technical Ops Support Manager, you will contribute to the success of the site by supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse. The role will take ownership ensuring all required technical equipment is in place and running as it should. You will lead a team and whilst carrying out their duties always maintain Health and Safety and provide a knowledgeable, solutions-based approach to the Warehouse to ensure the smooth day to day running of this technical function.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week
What you'll be doing:
- Manage a team of Technical Operations Support staff, who play a role in smooth day to day running of the technical function in the warehouse.
- Act as primary liaison between Technical IT support teams and warehouse operations team, troubleshooting WMS Issues, barcode scanner failures and network dropouts
- Responsible for the upkeep of the Critical inventory and oversee the maintenance and operation of automated equipment, conveyors and machinery
- Manage and escalate hardware and software incidents
- Ensure all relevant equipment remains compliant and fit for purpose.
- Work closely with 3rd Party suppliers, contractors and liaisons with Customer Ops Excellence teams
- Assist the Picking and Packing Team by providing Engineering solutions to assist in Operational capacity.
- Monitoring all machines and ancillary plant to drive efficiency and reliability.
- Carry out planned maintenance, inspections and complete repairs with little disruption to the Operational schedules.
- Look for opportunities to continuously improve performance and proactively make recommendations regarding the equipment to meet the site operational requirements and future development.
