RemoteVA PH is hiring an IT Support Specialist

We're looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist to oversee our Windows and Microsoft Cloud infrastructure. In this role, you'll ensure seamless operations by maintaining device fleets, managing identity systems, and resolving technical issues across desktop, network, and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer Windows 10 and 11 environments, including user profiles, permissions, and system configurations.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), configure multi-factor authentication, and support Azure-joined devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve operating system issues using PowerShell, DISM, SFC, and Event Viewer tools.
  • Support network connectivity by troubleshooting IP settings, DNS resolution, and VPN connections.
  • Perform hardware diagnostics on desktops and laptops, including SSD/NVMe, BIOS/UEFI, and peripheral devices.
  • Resolve printer-related issues such as spooler errors and driver conflicts.
  • Provide expert support for Microsoft 365 applications, OneDrive, Dropbox, and browser-based tools.
  • Enforce security standards through endpoint protection, malware detection, and user education on phishing prevention.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD, and basic cloud services.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server environments.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN protocols.
  • Experience with antivirus solutions and secure document handling.
  • Proficiency in command-line utilities including CHKDSK, SFC, DISM, and Task Manager.
  • Ability to analyze system logs from Event Viewer and Reliability Monitor.
  • Minimum of 2 years in an IT support or help desk capacity.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining technical topics to non-technical users.
  • Structured problem-solving approach for system diagnostics and data recovery.

Preferred Skills

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator certification.
  • Experience with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platforms.
  • Background in backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Hands-on work with custom PC assembly or hardware upgrades.
