About the Role

AO Foundation, an organization dedicated to transforming surgery and changing lives, is seeking an IT Project Manager to join its team. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering technology projects on time, within scope, and within budget. You will oversee the entire project lifecycle—from initial requirements gathering through implementation and transition to operations—while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and IT governance standards.

What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end project management for IT initiatives including software deployments, infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and integrations.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, resource needs, and budget.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation.
  • Ensure project milestones and objectives are met according to agreed requirements.
  • Drive implementation of ITSM Framework using Service Now.
  • Collaborate with business owners, technical teams, and external partners to define requirements and ensure project alignment.
  • Facilitate regular communication, status reporting, progress reviews, and steering committees with stakeholders.
  • Address risks, issues, and changes proactively; manage escalations where necessary.
  • Coordinate cross-functional and departmental projects.
  • Promote strong teamwork, accountability, and transparent communication.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with IT standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Drive acceptance testing, documentation, and operational handover.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking.
  • Manage vendors if involved in the project.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in IT project management or leading technology initiatives.
  • Proven track record in delivering complex IT projects.
  • Experience in working with Service Now (ITSM).
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, enterprise applications, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, or Planner.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • High degree of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluency in English.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes.
  • Fluency in German or any other languages.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, or equivalent certifications.
  • Scrum Master or Agile certifications such as PSM or CSM.
