About the Role

Advocate Health is hiring an IT Process Improvement Analyst to evaluate and enhance our IT workflows and systems. In this role, you will identify inefficiencies, design improvements, and foster a culture where IT teammates proactively seek out opportunities for optimization. You will manage moderate to complex initiatives and provide coaching on Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze moderate IT workflows, procedures, and systems to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for enhancement.
  • Collect and analyze data to understand current process performance using descriptive statistics and process mapping tools.
  • Design new processes and workflows as needed.
  • Track the impact of implemented changes, measure performance metrics, and adjust processes for continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of improvement where IT teammates proactively address inefficiencies.
  • Provide in-depth coaching on advanced problem-solving methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Integrate data from multiple IT systems to provide a comprehensive view of IT processes.
  • Apply advanced statistical methods and Lean Six Sigma techniques to analyze data and propose solutions.
  • Develop and implement moderate to complex process improvements based on data analysis.
  • Develop detailed scope and objectives for moderate to complex process improvement initiatives, including risk, change, and timeline management.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the initiative lifecycle.
  • Monitor improvement performance using key metrics and indicators, ensuring sustainment and meeting objectives.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on Lean Six Sigma methodologies tailored to the IT department.
  • Offer in-depth coaching and mentorship to IT teammates on process improvement challenges and data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead moderate to large-scale Lean Six Sigma improvement events such as Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) and Value Stream Analysis (VSA) sessions.
  • Perform comprehensive research to identify and analyze best practices in IT process improvement and benchmark against industry standards.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, emerging technologies, and methodologies, assessing their impact on IT processes.
  • Evaluate advanced process improvement tools and techniques, conducting pilot tests and reporting on effectiveness.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in process improvement, project management or a similar role.
  • Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in advanced data analysis techniques.
  • Strategic problem-solving ability for complex process improvement challenges.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills for detailed reports and consulting.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide, mentor, and lead improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and advanced tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT systems and their integration.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis methods and software.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate solutions and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for ongoing process optimization and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, MS OneNote, SharePoint, Visual Tools such as Miro or other Process Mapping tools, MS Teams, and MS Outlook.

Nice to Have

  • Preferred certification from accredited agencies in Lean, Continuous Improvement, Process Improvement, TQM, or Six Sigma.
  • Certification in project management methodologies such as PMP (Project Management Professional) is desirable.
