Clarivate is seeking a detail-oriented IP Admin Analyst to join our operations team. In this role, you will manage the flow of critical patent and trademark documents, ensuring our Intellectual Property Management System (IPMS) remains accurate and deadlines are met.
What You'll Do
- Calendar statutory and non-statutory deadlines in the IPMS along with relevant documents to preserve intellectual property rights.
- Perform or close calendared events in the IPMS once the requisite action is completed or cancelled.
- Prioritize daily docketing and de-docketing requests and other allocated tasks to keep the IPMS current and correct.
- Review patent and trademark prosecution documents (US and Non-US) and update or create records in the IPMS as per standard operating procedures.
- Create and update patent and trademark records in the IPMS, including family linking of direct and subject matter related applications.
- Communicate with attorneys, paralegals, law firms, foreign agents, and other stakeholders to seek instructions and clarification.
- Maintain the data integrity of the IPMS and proactively monitor the docket to ensure all PTO and client deadlines are met.
- Facilitate timely filing of all patent and trademark applications and office action responses through order letters and instructions.
- Facilitate accurate and timely payment of all PTO fees, including maintenance fees, coordinate payment instructions, and coordinate with annuity service providers or law firms.
- Stay abreast of changes in PTO guidelines and procedures and extend support to the team with process-related inputs.
- Provide On-the-Job Training to new joiners and conduct refresher trainings.
- Perform internal and PTO audits.
- Perform docketing Quality audits.
- Resolve first-level queries.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 1-2 years of intellectual property experience.
- An eye for detail with high concentration and focus.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to adjust to various team cultures.
- A good typing speed of 45-50 wpm with 98% accuracy.
- A confident, proactive team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimum or no supervision.
Nice to Have
- IP knowledge with experience working on different Intellectual Property Management Systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong analytical skills to comprehensively evaluate data.
