Raymond James is hiring an Investment Banking Analyst II to contribute to a wide range of financial transactions, including public and private debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and advisory services. In this role, you will work independently on broad assignments, lead multiple large projects, and generate ideas throughout the entire transaction process.
What You'll Do
- Develop financial models to assess debt and equity financing alternatives.
- Perform valuation analyses, including comparable company and discounted cash flow analysis.
- Provide valuable input on equity offerings, valuations, private placements, and M&A advisory.
- Research, analyze, present, and draft documentation for developing transactions.
- Develop client presentations.
- Follow current events in respective industry groups to keep bankers informed on critical issues.
- Maintain files related to active and prospective deals.
- Maintain group databases, including the Deal Database and Weekly Status Reports.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
- Minimum of 1 year of general experience (13 months to 3 years).
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of Investment Banking and the securities industry.
- Knowledge of financial markets and products.
- Skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Skill in applying analytical skills to assess and explain market events.
- Skill in solving problems and thinking independently to develop and market ideas.
- Skill in operating standard office equipment and using Microsoft Office and established databases.
- Ability to gather information, identify linkages and trends, and apply findings to reports.
- Ability to attend to detail while maintaining a big‑picture orientation.
- Ability to remain cognizant of daily workflow and regulatory compliance during high‑volume activity.
- Ability to organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks with frequently changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
