Responsibilities
- Accept deliveries of incoming shipments
- Prepare and send products for domestic and international export
- Manage documentation processes
- Create and present inventory reports
- Keep inventory procedures, counts, and policies accurate
- Check invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements to verify compliance with export regulations
- Ensure consistent adherence to all policies and procedures
- Follow office procedures such as tracking hours and maintaining workspace cleanliness
- Support stocking, kit-picking, and production tasks as directed
- Follow strict cycle count procedures to preserve inventory accuracy
- Report transaction issues or irregularities to the supervisor
- Engage in continuous improvement efforts
- Monitor the safety and security of goods and materials
- Examine orders for special requests and shipping details
- Receive incoming shipments, retrieve original orders, match them to shipments, and move products to inventory
- Match original requests, orders, and received or shipped products, track late orders with follow-up and documentation, move material to inventory control, return damaged or incorrect products, document all processes on company computers, and communicate concerns to management
- Pack products into containers for storage or shipment
- Unpack containers for inventory receiving
- Move material using carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts; backfill material shortages for departmental needs
- Perform weekly cycle counts on inventory and resolve count variances
- Maintain data and records related to shipping and receiving activities
- Optimize layouts, workflows, and warehouse space utilization
