Interview Engineers play a key role in shaping equitable hiring experiences by conducting structured technical interviews with software developers across the globe. Using Karat’s platform, you’ll lead sessions that assess core programming abilities, problem-solving techniques, and communication clarity in a consistent, bias-aware environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical interviews focused on coding fundamentals, logical thinking, and real-time collaboration
- Deliver detailed, objective feedback on candidate performance, including code quality, approach, and responsiveness
- Ensure each candidate has a respectful and engaging experience throughout the interview process
- Test and provide insights on interview questions, platform features, and evaluation methods to support continuous improvement
- Collaborate with the broader team to refine tools and processes that enhance assessment accuracy
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in software development
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, with strong interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated professionalism when working with diverse candidates and stakeholders
- Access to a dependable internet connection, webcam, and microphone
Preferred Background
- Prior experience evaluating technical skills, particularly in areas like algorithms and data structures
Compensation & Work Arrangement
