The International Tax Manager contributes to the effective management of tax responsibilities across EMEA, focusing on direct tax compliance, cross-border transactions, and evolving regulatory landscapes. This role actively supports high-impact initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructurings, ensuring tax considerations are integrated into strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support international expansion efforts and corporate reorganizations through tax planning and analysis
- Deliver practical tax advice on contracts, cross-border transactions, and operational initiatives
- Evaluate the implications of new tax legislation and policy changes across multiple jurisdictions
- Lead responses to tax audits and engagements with tax authorities
- Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation and support related compliance activities
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Treasury, HR, and business units to align tax strategy with organizational goals
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal leaders and external advisors
- Advise senior management on tax risks and opportunities arising from business activities
- Contribute to the calculation and analysis of income tax provisions under US GAAP and local accounting standards
- Oversee timely preparation and filing of direct tax returns and ensure compliance with payment obligations
Qualifications
A qualified candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or law and is a licensed CPA, CA, or CTA. Minimum of three years of professional tax experience in either corporate or public accounting settings is required. The role demands strong analytical abilities, effective communication skills, and a proven capacity to manage multiple priorities independently and within a team environment.
Experience in the insurance sector is beneficial. Familiarity with US GAAP or IFRS tax reporting standards is preferred. While the focus is on direct taxation, the ability to recognize indirect tax and employment tax implications is important given the global scope of responsibilities.
