Responsibilities
- Oversee and sustain the internal data architecture, including cloud data warehousing, transformation tools, and business intelligence platforms.
- Create and manage data models using dbt to enable reporting across various business areas.
- Work with internal teams to define data needs and convert them into durable, scalable technical solutions.
- Develop and support interactive dashboards in Sigma to provide reliable and timely business insights.
- Lead the deployment of analytical initiatives from early testing to full production, including change management and training.
- Ensure data accuracy, enforce governance standards, and uphold best practices across data systems.
- Find and implement automation opportunities to enhance data pipeline efficiency.
- Serve as the primary resource for leadership in utilizing internal data for strategic planning and decisions.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years in data analytics, business intelligence, or a comparable field.
- Direct experience with Snowflake or equivalent cloud-based data warehouse technology.
- Experience using dbt for data modeling and transformation workflows.
- Familiarity with Sigma Computing or similar BI platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Strong SQL skills with a track record of optimizing query performance.
- Skilled in using version control systems like Git and adhering to modern data stack methodologies.
- Solid grasp of data modeling concepts, ETL processes, and data pipeline design.
- Ability to convert business requirements into technical implementations and intuitive visual reports.
- Excellent communication abilities and a team-oriented mindset.
- Background in fast-moving, startup, or high-growth company settings.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data processing tasks.
