Tetra Technologies, Inc. is looking for an Internal Auditor to conduct internal audits, evaluating financial controls, operational processes, and compliance. In this role, you will identify risks and control gaps, prepare detailed audit reports, and collaborate with department leaders to implement corrective actions, promoting a culture of accountability and transparency.
What You'll Do
- Conduct internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of financial controls, operational processes, and compliance with company policies.
- Review and assess internal control systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify risks, control gaps, and areas for process improvement across departments.
- Perform financial, operational, and compliance audits according to established audit plans.
- Analyze financial records, transactions, and supporting documentation to verify accuracy and adherence to policies.
- Prepare clear audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Work with department leaders to develop and implement corrective action plans.
- Monitor and follow up on audit findings to ensure timely resolution.
- Evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, and internal procedures.
- Assist with risk assessments and development of annual audit plans.
- Support external auditors during annual audits and financial reviews.
- Maintain detailed documentation of audit work and findings in accordance with professional standards.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and strong internal controls.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 4-6+ years of experience with internal controls, risk management, and audit procedures.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (may include international travel).
- Must submit to and satisfactorily complete pre-employment background, medical, alcohol, and drug screening.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
Nice to Have
- CPA, CIA, or CISA certifications.
- Proven ability to work independently and complete operational and SOX audits from planning through execution and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with leading multiple projects at the same time.
- Knowledge and experience with Oracle JD Edwards.
