Yazaki is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Core Engineering team for the Summer 2026 program. In this hands-on role, you will directly support critical engineering investigations and gain practical experience working alongside experienced professionals in connector development and testing.
What You'll Do
- Support investigations to identify connector failure modes, such as corrosion from potential differences and wire insulation compression set.
- Work closely with engineers in the connector development team and testing center.
- Produce a completed report detailing the effects of identified potential failure modes.
What We're Looking For
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution during the internship period.
- Junior or Senior standing in a Mechanical Engineering degree program.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks between May 11, 2026, and August 14, 2026.
- Strong mechanical skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
