About the Role
The intern will assist with legal research, document review, case preparation, and investigative activities under the guidance of legal professionals.
Responsibilities
- Support litigation case management by organizing case files and documentation
- Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law
- Assist in preparing materials for internal and external legal proceedings
- Review and analyze documents for relevance and privilege
- Summarize depositions, transcripts, and investigative findings
- Help coordinate responses to legal discovery requests
- Maintain databases of legal documents and case timelines
- Draft internal memos summarizing legal issues and findings
- Participate in investigations involving compliance and regulatory matters
- Assist with due diligence activities for corporate transactions
- Monitor court dockets and legal deadlines
- Support the management of electronic discovery processes
- Organize and label evidence for legal teams
- Attend team meetings and contribute insights on case strategy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on legal initiatives
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data handling policies
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures for legal workflows
- Track litigation metrics and reporting requirements
- Help prepare presentations for senior legal staff
- Gain exposure to regulatory frameworks impacting litigation
