In this role, you’ll provide strategic guidance on environmental planning initiatives, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients in the energy, transportation, and land development sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and review of environmental strategy documents and impact assessments
- Advise on regulatory requirements under federal, provincial, and municipal frameworks in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan
- Prepare, review, or oversee applications for permits and authorizations
- Design and support ecological studies and field programs
- Develop and evaluate measures to avoid or reduce environmental impacts
- Ensure project execution aligns with established environmental processes and standards
- Contribute to terrestrial fieldwork and technical reporting
- Strengthen client relationships through collaborative project delivery
- Coach and mentor early-career professionals
- Design and deliver training on environmental topics
- Identify and implement innovative approaches to improve project outcomes
Qualifications
You bring a strong foundation in environmental planning with proven ability to apply independent judgment to complex, multi-disciplinary projects. Familiarity with regulatory processes in Western Canada is essential. Preferred candidates will have direct experience supporting large-scale energy infrastructure, including transmission, renewable energy, and power generation developments.

This position follows a hybrid model with flexible scheduling and remote work options. Office access is available in Calgary, Edmonton, or Vancouver.
