Responsibilities
- Guide the application of testing as a method to inform and refine design across component, system, and subsystem development—from early bench-level validation to full-scale vehicle, mission, and support system integration
- Build and maintain realistic Hardware In Lab (HIL) and Hardware In The Loop (HITL) environments that simulate real-world mission performance
- Prioritize safety in test setup design by proactively eliminating risks to personnel through engineered safeguards
- Use piloted and autonomous flight platforms as testbeds to advance subsystem development in realistic conditions
- Create, evaluate, and carry out appropriately scaled test strategies across integration platforms, systematically documenting insights and providing actionable feedback for design improvement
- Lead Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and identify, evaluate, and reduce potential hazards to enable safe and effective test execution
- Establish and oversee configuration management practices for integration test environments
- Assist in factory acceptance, ground testing, and flight evaluation of prototype and production-representative systems
