About the Role

Responsibilities
- Direct the development and implementation of comprehensive test plans
- Supervise functional, regression, and performance testing activities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify test requirements
- Ensure software meets defined quality standards before release
- Develop automated testing frameworks and tools
- Monitor defect tracking and resolution workflows
- Lead root cause analysis for critical system issues
- Establish best practices for test case design and documentation
- Integrate quality assurance into continuous integration pipelines
- Evaluate risks related to software quality and propose mitigations
- Coordinate testing efforts across multiple product teams
- Drive improvements in test coverage and execution efficiency
- Mentor QA engineers in technical and procedural skills
- Maintain alignment between QA goals and product objectives
- Report on QA metrics and team performance to stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in a technical discipline
- Experience with safety-critical or high-assurance systems
- Knowledge of networking protocols and middleware
- Familiarity with certification standards such as DO-178 or ISO 26262
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure testing
- Background in open-source software development
- Expertise in security testing for distributed platforms
- Published contributions to QA or testing communities
- Leadership in scaling QA operations for growing teams
- Experience mentoring junior engineers in remote settings
