MiWay is looking for an Insurance Consultant to join Santam's Commercial Contact Centre. In this role, you will provide end-to-end service and support to intermediaries, ensuring exceptional customer service and contributing directly to business growth and profitability.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to the net profit and growth targets for the business.
- Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative, and appropriate solutions.
- Provide telephonic and email support to the intermediary on record, authorised brokerage representatives, and broker services.
- Handle general insurance and policy-specific enquiries.
- Analyse requests from intermediaries and provide quotations to secure new business.
- Initiate outbound calls to intermediaries to discuss quotations and convert policies.
- Undertake follow-ups on cancelled policies to ascertain reasons and attempt to retain the business.
- Manage new business issuance, policy maintenance, renewals, and agricultural policy aspects.
- Resolve all insurance queries within required timeframes and compliance requirements.
- Manage client expectations on turnaround times for submitted requests.
- Adhere to underwriting criteria and regional requirements.
- Assist with profiling clients to find the best suitable product and underwriting criteria.
- Assist in implementing solutions for process improvement.
- Adhere to workforce management principles to optimize productivity.
- Prioritise your workflow and ensure work is completed to required standards of productivity, quality, and timelines.
- Ensure business targets are met.
What We're Looking For
- Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
- 60 FAIS credits for Commercial lines.
Nice to Have
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Financial Services, specifically Short Term Insurance.
- A relevant insurance-related qualification (e.g., NQF level 5).
- Tertiary qualification.
Team & Environment
You will be part of Santam's Commercial Contact Centre, working collaboratively to provide excellent service to intermediaries.

This is an onsite position located in Bloemfontein.
