The State of Louisiana is hiring a full-time, 9-month faculty Instructor to join the Bossier Parish Community College campus. In this role, you will teach undergraduate courses in English, Composition, Rhetoric, or Literature and contribute to a vibrant campus culture where faculty work closely with students.
What You'll Do
- Teach five courses per semester in English, Composition, Rhetoric, or Literature.
- Maintain regular in-office student hours.
- Perform campus and community service activities.
- Attend professional development sessions.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curricular design.
- Contribute to a campus culture of close faculty-student interaction.
What We're Looking For
- A Master's degree in English or a related field.
- At least eighteen (18) graduate hours in any combination of English, Composition, Rhetoric, or Literature.
- Experience teaching face-to-face and online courses in a post-secondary environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience teaching synchronous online or hyflex courses.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at the Bossier Campus in Bossier City, LA.
