Lifetime Activities is hiring a part-time Instructor to teach tennis and contribute to our active, community-focused programs. This role centers on sharing your passion for tennis by teaching and demonstrating technique to players of all ages, with a focus on beginning to intermediate skill levels.
What You'll Do
- Teach and demonstrate tennis technique to players at both beginning and advanced levels.
- Contribute to schedules by potentially helping with other activities like pickleball, badminton, table-tennis, basketball, or chess.
- Interact with and help both adults and kids of all ages across various activities.
- Work effectively within a team-based environment.
- Lead and communicate clearly to groups of children and adults.
- Work with a wide range of skill levels, focusing on beginning to intermediate players.
- Use diverse games and drills to keep students moving, engaged, and having fun.
What We're Looking For
- A strong background and passion for tennis.
- Previous coaching experience.
- Solid playing ability (4.0+ NTRP rating).
- Fast-paced and accurate ball feeding skills.
- A good understanding of classic and modern tennis fundamentals.
- A strong work ethic, including punctuality and professionalism at all times.
- Must submit to a consumer investigative report as required by law.
- Subject to a health screening following a conditional offer of employment.
Nice to Have
- Passion for tennis and one or more other activities we offer: pickleball, badminton, table-tennis, basketball, or chess.
- Availability on weekday mornings, after school/evenings, and weekends.
