Simplilearn is looking for an Instructor to play a key role in shaping the future of aspiring Artificial Intelligence professionals. You will deliver content from our Applied AI Program, designed to help learners master the practical applications of AI, machine learning, and generative AI technologies across industries.
What You'll Do
- Create a positive, professional and inclusive learning environment.
- Teach select lessons in accordance with learning objectives and session plans.
- Employ strategies to meet adult learners' needs, leveraging tech tools and sharing industry insights.
- Manage regular communication with students to align on progress, expectations, and address concerns.
- Provide individualized student support during class sessions and outside class via office hours and asynchronous communication.
- Evaluate student performance and progression toward competencies based on course deliverables and rubrics.
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to students.
- Assist in managing Performance Action Plans for students needing additional support.
- Serve as a role model and brand ambassador, exhibiting professionalism and an ethical approach.
- Promote student retention and satisfaction by creating a positive classroom culture and communicating timely.
- Encourage teamwork and seek feedback for continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of industry experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Science, with hands-on expertise in building and deploying AI models.
- Strong understanding of core AI/ML concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, LLMs), and modern frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with data handling libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib.
- Practical experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision, including use of pre-trained models and transfer learning techniques.
- Familiarity with Generative AI models such as GPT, BERT, Stable Diffusion, and techniques like Transformers, RLHF, RAG, and prompt engineering.
- Strong applied background in using AI for business or research applications—experience in implementing or fine-tuning generative or predictive models is highly valued.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex AI topics for diverse learners.
- A genuine passion for teaching, mentoring, and staying updated with the latest advancements in AI and generative technologies.
Nice to Have
- Prior teaching, mentoring, or training experience in an academic or corporate environment.
- Advanced degrees such as MTech/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or relevant certifications in Data Science/AI.
