Responsibilities
- Lead live virtual classes focused on Tableau and the principles of visual data storytelling
- Teach foundational concepts in data visualization and effective narrative techniques
- Guide students in organizing and preparing data within Tableau
- Instruct on building charts, interactive dashboards, and dynamic reports
- Cover the use of filters, parameters, and data sets in Tableau
- Deliver instruction on advanced visual formats such as heat maps and treemaps
- Share best practices for designing clear and effective dashboards
- Present real-world business scenarios and case studies
- Support learners during practical lab exercises and project work
- Offer mentorship and clarify technical or conceptual challenges
- Administer assessments, evaluations, or trial sessions as needed
- Track and uphold standards for session quality and student engagement
- Work with internal teams to refine curriculum and incorporate feedback
- Offer personalized academic support during live lectures and designated office hours
- Keep consistent communication with students about progress and course expectations
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from students and staff
- Deliver clear, actionable, and timely feedback on assignments
- Assess student performance using defined grading criteria and deliverables
- Keep accurate records of academic performance and participation
- Report academic issues to the Lead Instructor or relevant personnel
- Assist in implementing performance improvement strategies when required
- Follow institutional guidelines and team-specific teaching standards
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and professional classroom atmosphere
- Act as a mentor and positive example for learners
- Partner with instructional teams to enhance the overall learning experience

- Part-time instructors generally contribute 10–15 hours weekly, depending on cohort timelines.
- The expected weekly time commitment for part-time roles is 8–12 hours.
- Scheduled weekday sessions run from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM CST on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
- Weekend sessions are held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM CST on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Candidates must be available during evening hours as needed.
- This role is part-time, non-exempt, and subject to compensation for all hours worked per federal and state wage laws.
