Ellis Medicine is hiring an Instructor to serve as a key faculty member and leader within the Belanger School of Nursing. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching and course development across classroom, skills lab, simulation lab, and clinical environments. You will assume significant responsibility in program development, implementation, and evaluation while providing guidance and mentorship to students.
What You'll Do
- Act as a course team member, course coordinator, and/or committee chairperson.
- Design, teach, and evaluate course content and student progression.
- Select and implement diverse learning experiences, including simulation and interactive activities.
- Supervise and evaluate student learning in classroom, clinical, skills, and simulation settings.
- Participate in course-level assessments, including test question development and analysis.
- Share leadership responsibilities for planning, implementing, and evaluating the entire school program.
- Manage, mentor, and guide the teaching activities of other faculty.
- Participate in the hiring and orientation of new faculty.
- Assume a professional nurse leadership role, acting independently and utilizing group dynamics to effect change.
- Analyze situations using problem-solving methods and confer with leadership on policy decisions.
- Manage the School of Nursing when designated.
- Participate in continuing education and stay current on trends in nursing, education, and legislation.
- Serve as a role model for the nursing profession and interact harmoniously with all stakeholders.
- Advise students on academic matters and establish effective communication channels.
