OneOcean Group Limited is looking for an Instructional Designer to craft impactful and memorable learning experiences for a global maritime audience. You will join a company founded 260+ years ago as the world’s first marine classification society, whose digital solutions are used by over 30,000 vessels today, covering fleet operations, compliance, voyage planning, and performance management.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify learning gaps and objectives.
- Work with subject matter experts to validate assumptions and structure learning content.
- Create engaging, interactive online learning materials and refurbish legacy content.
- Determine optimal delivery methods and multimedia combinations for eLearning.
- Specify activities and instructions to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Utilize and recommend authoring tools and learning technologies to deliver innovative solutions.
- Partner with the Learning Experience Manager to develop assessment strategies measuring learning effectiveness.
- Evaluate the impact of training programs.
- Collaborate with SMEs, stakeholders, and team members to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Self-manage instructional design efforts, including timelines and resources.
- Distribute accurate production requirements to visual designers.
- Liaise with content engineers to ensure seamless production.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in instructional design.
- Share articles, events, ideas, and methodologies with the design team to improve processes.

Team & Environment
You will collaborate with Product Managers, Visual Designers, Courseware Developers, and Subject Matter Experts. You will also partner directly with the Learning Experience Manager.
